I'm sure you have probably heard that you should never diet and never start a diet if you're already losing weight. But do you really know why? Have you ever wondered why some people can diet and lose weight while the rest of us struggle to keep our bodies within our desired limits? This article will shed some light on this question.

The main reason why some people are able to lose a lot of weight while other struggle is because they don't suffer from any serious medical conditions that compromise their ability to process food properly. Others may have other health issues that make vomiting their primary way of dealing with the pain of rapid weight loss. However, whatever the cause, it's always best to address it by treating it at the root.

Let me give you an example... A couple of my sisters had a problem with severe nausea and extreme vomiting for quite a long time. So they would eat whenever they felt the need to do so. Unfortunately, this caused them to severely abuse their stomachs and as a result their body had no way of properly processing or absorbing the food they were eating. It resulted in terrible digestion problems and the result was a terrible eating disorder.

If they had attended a nutritionist, I'm sure they would have been instructed to undergo treatment for throwing up. Because their condition was not caused by a medical condition, they may have been given appropriate treatment. They may have been put on a strict diet and required to eat only certain foods.

As far as me, I've suffered from anorexia nervosa for over ten years. Before I began seeing a nutritionist, I believed that I was suffering from a simple hunger problem. I believed that once I ate a big meal I would get satiated and stop eating all together. However, once I became aware of the fact that I was actually suffering from a serious eating disorder, I had to seek treatment. I've now completed recovery and am working towards becoming a healthy, proper eater.

I've now attended a wellness center for two years. During this time, I've gained a great deal of knowledge about how my body works. The biggest lesson I've learned is that I was storing up a lot of fat inside of my body because I was consuming an unhealthy diet. My eating habits had been detrimental to my health and in turn, I now know how to burn fat and keep it off.

Another thing that has changed for me is the way that I approach throwing up. I used to have a mindset of "oh, I'll go ahead and throw up anyway" or "it's fine, maybe I'll just roll over and let it go". Now I recognize that this is rarely the case and that what I'm throwing up is actually a symptom of a much larger problem.

I now choose to engage with friends, family, and other groups whenever possible. These small acts of connection are far more effective than I previously thought they would be. I've also gained a new sense of commitment to my goal of recovery and have decided that now is the right time to pursue this goal. If I can help one person in their battle against an eating disorder, then I've accomplished a great deal.

Of course, I have to admit that I'm biased because I live in recovery from an eating disorder. As a former sufferer, I know first hand the difficulties of living with an eating disorder. I've experienced embarrassment, shame, guilt, and other emotions that come along with recovering from an eating disorder. I know how difficult it is to rid oneself of an eating disorder because once the eating disorder is out of sight, the shame is next to impossible to cover up.

However, I've also struggled with the same emotions for a long time before I finally sought help. It took me a long time to realize that the shame and embarrassment were directly linked to my eating disorder and were barriers to my recovery. Once I began to get a handle on those emotions, I was able to overcome my eating disorder and move on with my life. I've found that understanding the root causes of my overeating and my emotional response to it have made it possible for me to not feel shame or guilt for any of my actions. That understanding has helped me in my recovery.

So does throw up, make you lose weight? The short answer is no. The long answer is that it depends. Depending on the severity of your eating disorder, it can make a difference. If your condition is relatively mild, then probably yes.
